Characteristics and usage of woven geotextiles

Woven geotextile is polypropylene flat silk as raw material, composed of two groups of parallel yarns, one group along the vertical called warp, the other group of horizontal arrangement called weft. With different weaving equipment and process woven warp and weft woven together into cloth shape can be woven into different thickness and density according to different scope of application, generally woven geotextiles are thinner in the vertical and horizontal direction have tensile resistance, with good stability.

Performance characteristics: light weight, high strength, small elongation, high integrity, convenient construction, good reinforcement performance.

Purpose:

Reinforcement effect: it can stably limit the transfer of engineering in the process of long-term use, and can transfer or distribute the local stress in the soil to a large area.

Separation function: use woven cloth to separate different geostructural materials to form a stable interface, according to the requirements of their own characteristics and overall role.

Drainage and filtration function: woven cloth can let water through and prevent the loss of sand particles. When used and drained, the woven cloth placed in the soil with poor water permeability can play a slow pump water and quickly drain away the water along the woven cloth.

Woven fabric and geomembrane used together can act as a tension diaphragm between two materials with different pressures

Blocking function: the function of placing the woven cloth horizontally in the channel of flowing liquid with suspended particles to stop the fine mud particles and allow the liquid to pass through.
